The Circuit Court of Macon County is a court of criminal jurisdiction. The Court has several divisions. The Circuit Division (Division I) handles felony criminal cases, misdemeanor criminal cases, traffic cases, juvenile and child support civil cases where the amount in controversy exceeds $25,000.00, cases involving dissolution of marriage, adult abuse, juvenile cases and other cases specifically designated by statute. The Associate Division (Division II) handles misdemeanor criminal cases, traffic cases, civil cases under $25,000.00, probate matters (estates, trusts, guardianships and conservatorships), small claims cases, landlord/tenant and other cases designated by statute. The Municipal Division (Division V) handles municipal ordinance violations.

DOCKET CALL:
Law Days:* Division I - Second and fourth Wednesday of each month.
Division I - Juvenile Law Days – Second and fourth Monday of each
month.
The court also schedules special settings for juvenile matters
when necessary.
Division II - Criminal/Traffic Law Day – Each Tuesday.
Division II - Civil Law Day, (includes Small Claims and Landlord/ Tenant)
First and third Monday of each month;
Starting 1/1/06, second and fourth Monday of each month.
Division II - Probate Law Day – Second Wednesday of each month.
*Individual Law Days are subject to rescheduling. Law Days that fall on holiday will either be cancelled or rescheduled.
