(Except Legal Holidays) The Recorder of Deeds office is the repository wherein are kept all records relating to deeds, mortgages, transfers and contracts affecting land within Macon county. All documents must be duly executed according to law and the fees for recording instruments are set by state statutes, which are required to be paid when deeds are presented for recording.
